Yes, my name is Danny Wightkin but you probably want to know more than that.
I am a clown and performance artist based in Chicago, IL. After completing my degree in Theatre at Allegheny College, I moved to the city in 2016 where I fell in love with clowning. In the 10 years since that first class, I have now studied with both Lecoq school and Gauilier school in France, Avner the Eccentric at Celebration Barn, and countless other influential artists.
I produce solo and ensemble clown work throughout the city, direct shows, teach classes/workshops, and tour my award winning solo shows. Outside of theatre, you can find me hanging out with my cats, rock climbing, crafting TTRPG terrain, or designing board games.

Workshops and Classes
Learn the art of clowning and the joy of play from a professional clown.
Danny teaches clowning and physical theatre both in workshop settings and in full-length classes. Topics include breath awareness/control, audience relationships, movement techniques, failure onstage, and much more. These courses can be tailored to fit your (or your organizations) needs.
